In 1977 Humphrey & Associates opened for business as an electrical contractor with a handful of employees based out of their office in an old farmhouse in northwest Dallas. Inspired by the vision and guided by the values of founder Steve Humphrey, Sr. and his wife Jackie, the family-owned and operated construction contracting company has expanded, diversified, and grown to a thriving business with four office locations and more than 400 employees. 

Integrity and excellence are trademarks for the H&A family.  For our customers we provide electrical, mechanical, engineering/design, preventative/proactive maintenance, lighting management, and personnel/safety management services and are skilled in commercial, industrial, manufacturing, institutional, healthcare, and residential work.

Employees are offered the opportunity to be part of a number of apprenticeship programs affording them a pathway to be licensed in their field while employed.  Competitive pay, an ESOP, and a 401K have helped create and maintain a workforce known for skill and longevity.

Steve and Jackie Humphrey did not just form a company; they created a family.  They have impacted the industry with their involvement in professional organizations like Independent Electrical Contractors, TEXO, and the Construction Education Foundation. 

Now led by owners Steve Humphrey, Jr. and Randy Humphrey, Humphrey & Associates continues to be a leader in the industry with its Core Culture and Values as the guide.
